Rifugio Berni and Rifugio Bonetta: Two lodges at the top of Passo Gavia

Both rifugi (mountain lodges) are along the road near the top of the pass. They offer typical mountain lodge accommodation and atmosphere and are excellent bases for great hikes and more advanced tours.

Authentic mountain lodges.

Rifugio Bonetta: A Rifugio, but just aside the road

While on Stelvio are only ugly hotels we found a mountain lodge with quite a typical Alpinist atmosphere right at the top of the road over Passo Gavia in a landscape which reminded me much of my Norwegian trip.
