Riva da Garda--Peaceful Visit
"Riva-- una Rivelazione"
At the far end of the lake, as far as you can get away from the tourists, the campers, the throngs of tourists driving along the shore is Riva da Garda. The large village sits on the edge, as you will, too as you sit with your cold drink and watch the day go by. The boats go back and forth across the lake, the occasional ferry boat docks to load and unload the passengers and the waiters come out and relax between meal times.
This town is very beautiful, and more than that, you can visit a castle above, and several just outside of town, and for the more adventurous is watersports and cycling.
I recommend several restaurants as real winners, and also the hotel where we stayed was first class in everything. See my tips.
"Pleasant and beautiful scenery"
Another view of the lake through the park.
"Copenhagen has nothing over Riva"
In the Piazza by the shore is this statue, which adds a nice touch to the scenery.
