Hotel Villa Nicolli

Hotel Villa Nicolli – 4 star hotel situated in a quiet location towards back of Riva. Recenly renovated - the owner believes in putting profit back into his business and it shows. Our room not huge (I believe others were larger and some have balconies) but adequate - minibar was a nice touch and Tv suspended from ceiling so easily viewed from comfort of bed made most of size. Ensuite modern bathromm and the bathrobes were nice addition.
We stayed here a week on a part package deal (hotel and board without flights) from a tour operator on an early deal which was excellent value - I can imagine the meals alone would have cost what we paid for hotel and half board.

Unique Quality: No lake view but has lovely garden area with pool and hot tub, in summer season they hold barbeques here too. Reception staff excellent and service second to none. The meals on our half board arrangement were excellent with plenty of choice: evening meal consisted of salad buffet, a pasta/soup/veg course, next the main course followed by dessert buffet (lots of yummy choices) and cheese. A favourite first course dish was a rounded crepe filled with red chicory and cream cheese in a pumpkin sauce - really unusal and totally delicious! Really the salad and desert buffets were enough by themselves! Champagne on my birthday from the head waiter was a nice surprise too.

Oh and I must not forget free internet access for hotel guests too - broadband connection!
Would definitely reccommend this hotel. Low season rate for twin occupance was 100 euros per nigh on half board. They have their own website so you can check for uptodate room rates there.
Plenty of car parking space for guests with a car - including underground if required to protect from rain and more importantly heat!
