Rovereto is an interesting, clean, well maintained city just south of Trento and a little east of Lago di Garda. Rovereto is a short drive from some of the best resorts in the Dolomiti moutains.
This photo was taken from the courtyard of Rovereto's medieval castle. The castle was well fortified by inner and outer ramparts shown here. The castle which is situated at the highest elevation of the city, looks out over the city and the picteresque river valley.
Catch one of the many daily trains departing Trento or Verona. Follow the signs from the train station to citta centro and the castel ( castle ).
