It surprises me how few skiers actually seem to inhabit VT pages. If you're looking for mountains you're apt to find more pages on walking and hiking; neither of those activities do I have any qualms with incidentally.
To be honest, I simply love mountains. To me, raised on the N.S.W. coast, they're still a novelty, so I still have that child-like curiousity that enchants me.
San Martino is an excellent resort that's a little off the beaten track. Basically, you'd be coming here rather than passing through as I was. The road doesn't really link major centres so it's a destination, and a fine one at that.
