I will be staying about 2 KM from the centre of town (Selva) in September. I was told that there are NO busses to the house. How much would it cost in Euro to take a Taxi for such a short distance? Could one walk, or is it very steep?
Any other information regarding the area will also be greatly appreciated.

Depends on where your accommodation is located.
The area and the Dolomites are great for walking/hiking. September is just a great month to do so.

You know how it is that a normal place becomes a special place because of something out of the ordinary that happens there. Well our stay at the Paradiso Hotel became "special" because of one person and that is Dessislava. She was working in the hotel and she was always kind and friendly way more than you could expect and then we started talking and when we finally left we received and gave hugs and kisses and now we remain in contact.
AS one walks towards Selva, the mass of Sasso Lungo undergoes subtle changes as the light strikes it from another angle and as the path passes more to the eastern side of the mountain.
Selva is a little larger than S Cristina and has a busy shopping street and nuch nore relatively level area in which to expand. S Cristina is strung out along the highway and hugs the side of the hills.
