This path crosses the Venetian or eastern Dolomites from north to south. The starting point is Lago di Bràies (Bolzano region) and ends in the Belluno region. You should allow 12 days for this hike.

Hotel Paradiso

This was the small porch of our hotel room, you can see the view in the background, quite the eye catcher.
This is the view looking west from our hotel entrance. The bare mountain in the distance can be approached by car where some of the rocky faces are fantastic to climb.
This is the small pool in the hotel, on the far left you have a jacuzzi that is directly attached to the pool. I must tell you that the water is the same temperature as the outside air in the winter, or at least it felt like it. After about 2 minutes I started to shiver and could not swim...
Tal is sitting next to the heating unit for the hotel lobby, it is run by coals and I am told quite nice to sit by on a cold alpine winter night. I can also imagine sitting down a little too close and then running out into that cold alpine winter night to cool off what got too hot ^O^
Another closer look at some of the beautiful mountains in the Dolomite area of Italy. The starkness of these monoliths rising out of the green pastures of the valleys below is something special to see.
