Excellent stay at a very good price.
Clean - Family Very Friendly owned-
good skyroom with skyboot heater!
100 meters to the slopes and perfeclty connected with the bus.
The service was excellent, especially that given by our now new friend Dessislava. The hotel is nicely arranged with a very comfortable small lobby and the dining room is very nice.
The pool, and indoor recreation factilites were slightly "understocked..The pool water, and even the jacuzzi were stone cold, so we could not swim long, but it was "refreshing". The play room had no games and the pingpong table had seen better days.
I would still recommend the Paradiso for its placement and accomodations.
There are many alpine huts with dormitory facilities for those who enjoy hut to hut hiking
Check the link below for info and contact numbers of the huts in Val Gardena area
or this one which lists the huts by mountain groups:
The Puez hut, shown in this pic, has a wonderful location high above the Vallunga Valley in Selva. It is part of the dolomite path and makes an ideal place to stay en route. We didn't stay here ourselves as we were comfortably based in a chalet in Selva but had a great hike in this area and stopped at this hut for a late lunch.
Run by Carlo Senoner and his family. Very friendly people
Great views into the mountains (Sella), a rather new swimming pool in roman style.
Chalet holidays in this area are the best option - Live in hosts providing cooked breakfasts, packed lunches, afternoon teas and the dinners with unlimited wine/beer included. These mountain hikes work up an appetite which you can walk off the next day.
Home from home atmosphere - small groups of like-minded people. Great for making new friends
