From venice you'll take a train to Bolzano (you have to change in Verona) and from there a bus to Selva di Val Gardena.

The timetable info for the bus that Fabiana is referring to is at http://www.sii.bz.it/en/orari_download.php?quadro=120&da=2007-01-08&a=2007-06-22
Note that you will be at "Bolzano FS", which is the train station, and going to "Selva".
Oh, the languages here are only Italian and German...well, the three special markers at the bottom of the first table (the three types of boxes that go over the top of the columns) are (1) Saturdays during the school year, (2) During the school year, and (3) Weekdays only.
Note that since you are starting at Treviso airport, you will do one of two things: (1) take the bus from the airport to the Venice Mestre station, where you would pick up Fabiana's routing to Bolzano through Verona on the train, or (2) take the bus to Treviso's train station, and then take the train (which looks like it will usually change in Mestre as well as in Verona). See http://www.trevisoairport.it/page/tsf/servizi/trasporti/mezzipubblici/treni?m=4140211 for the info on getting somewhere from the airport.
I saw that there are closer train stations to Selva di Val Gardena than Bolzano, but it looks like Fabiana picked Bolzano as the better choice, since the bus connections seem to be better from the train station in Bolzano that from the closer ones...

Travel Tips for Selva di Val Gardena
Selva

Selva Gardena, at an altitude of 1,563 m above sea level, is situated at the head of the valley. It has a stunning location at the foot of the majestic Sella Massif and connected to the Sella Ronda - which can be hiked around in summer or skied in winter. One side of the valley is flanked by the Puez-Odle national park and the other side has the Sassolungo and Sassopiato peaks and the Alp de Suisi hiking/ski-ing region. The hiking options are endless, the scenery fantastic, the weather perfect - well it was when we were there :-))

Imagine that at the other side of the Sasso Lungo people used to ski down!
Only expierenced skiers were allowed to ski down. Nowadays there is no longer a gondola up there in wintertime. Too dangerous.
A beautiful view from here to Sasso Lungo.
