Travel Tips for Trento
Just outside of Trento are green rolling hills and beautiful mountains. There are also a lot of farmland on these hills making a wonderful scenery. On the train near Trento you should be able to see this kind of scenery. You'll actually see more of this scenery if you take the local area buses as well as long distance buses.
This man was obviously very angry against both the local newspapers and the mayor of the city because they did not care about the highest pollution by diesel engines vs petrol and he wanted them to awake! He was holding one poster in front and the other on his back but nobody seemed to care and to read them!
MART in Rovereto
Not in Trento itself but in the nearby town of Rovereto, a museum of modern art designed by the Swiss architect Mario Botta, has recently been completed. Particularly nice is the covered courtyard with a steel and glass dome and a Pantheon-like opening in the centre.
Piazza Duomo and Palazzo Pretorio
Palazzo Pretorio stands next to the Duomo. It was built the twelfth century. It top is fringed with crenels. Until the middle of the XIIIth, it was the residence of the prince-bishop and thus the seat of the power in Trento.
Palazzo Del Monte
Palazzo Del Monte stands at the corner of Via Suffragio, another main street of ancient Trento. It was probably built between the end of the XVth and the beginning of the XVIth. There has been few modifications and it looks very homogeneous.
