A "petit extraordinaire" city
by garibaldi
This city is placed in North East of Italy near VERONA.
If you have visited Verona and you are going to Austria you can spend a day in this city.
It's not big and in a day you can visit the center and the castle and have a funny evening in one of pubs full of university students.
Via del Suffragio 1
by Azhut
As I lerned when I spent a day in Trento, local people like walking in Via del Suffragio, because of its different kind of shops and its location (behind the main square). At noon this place is full of people, most of them go to a restaurant or a bar for a fast lunch.
Trento city ramparts and guard tower
by hundwalder
Most of Trento's original defense walls and guard towers are still not only intact but well preserved. Details forthcoming. Nowadays the guard towers are mainly used to site any tourists that got lost on their way to Venice or Cortina.
Most of Trento's best sites are near the centro and can easity be visited on foot.
ciao !
Palazzo Pretorio and Torre Civica
by JLBG
The Torre Civica, a bell tower, was added to Palazzo Pretorio in the thirteenth. Palazzo Pretorio is now the seat of the Museo Diocesano Tridentino that now hosts a collection of baroque paintings of religious themes, wooden sculptures and a collection of ancient clocks.
Via Suffragio, an entrance
by JLBG
On Via Suffragio, next to Palazzo Del Monte, I spotted this entrance with a delicately carved wooden door. I do not feel that it is older than the XIXth, may be XVIIIth but whatever its age, the carver has done a jolly good job, as can be better seen on the close up on the central motif of the door.
