The best view in town!
by meteorologist1
This was the view from my hotel, Hotel Aquila D'oro, located literally across the square from the Duomo. I can say this is probably the best view in town of Trento's city center. I had this view for two weeks and it was one of the most memorable stays I've ever had. Every morning at 7am the bells of the Duomo would ring loudly, waking the whole town up. Watching from my balcony, at night people would stroll along the narrow streets until very late. This is an experience one wouldn't get anywhere else!
Monte Paganella

If you were to look to the left of this shot you would actually be looking over Trento, but don't go thinking it's only a 5 minute trip to get to this skifield. No, you actually have to go through a pass then cut around the back of the mountains to get to Andola where you can board a gondola.
Still, the skiing is nice, especially if you're intermediate or beginner level. There are ample equipment hire places. I simply rocked up and got some gear from "Rent n Go" which is located right at the lift centre. I found them to be quite helpful, like most ski hire places I have ever been to, and the prices were reasonable.
Castello del Buonconsiglio

It is located right in town, and unlike other castles, you don't need to climb a hill to get to it. I was quite amazed by the visit, lots of great arts in this castle especially the cielings and the walls. Built in 1475. The entrance fee is 5 Euros and you are free to walk wherever you like. More in the travelogue.
Unidentified church on via Belenzani
by JLBG
Strangely, I have been unable to identify this building, which stands at the beginning of via Belenzani, close to Fontana del’aquila. It has to be a church but though I have extensively searched, I have found no clue! I will have to go for another visit! Anybody has the answer?
Annunciazione
by JLBG
The group of the Annunziazione stands at the first level on a house in the Canton, the historical crossroads in the old historic center of Trento. It is now at the cross roads between Via San Pietro and Via Manci. Only a copy is on display, the original has been bought by the Provincia Autonoma di Trento and kept safe.
