We spent one day in Arezzo and felt like we covered it (as much as you could). It's a nice, small walking city. I guess it depends on your schedule but I think you could enjoy the city with the same amount of time.
Travel Tips for Arezzo
Piero della Francesca's frescoes
by Babi119
The Basilica of S.Francesco, one of the most important Arezzo's monuments, is famous for its frescoes "The legend of the true Cross" painted by Piero della Francesca. It was started during the 14th century, the façade is the only thing unfinished, but inside it's really a masterpiece, with Marcillat's glass, Spinello's paintings and mailnly with Piero's frescoes representing the Aurea legend: the story of the wood where Christ was crucifixed, since the origin, until the return in Gerusalem thanks to the emperor Eraclio.
Palazzo dei Priori
by Mikebond
Also known as Palazzo del Comune, since it houses the city hall, this building dates of 1333 but it was remade several times. My parents and I visited an exhibition of paintings by contemporary naive painter Antonio Ligabue (1899-1965). We could just take a picture of the photos of the artists, but not of his paintings.
Back to the palace, it is not so relevant from the artistic point of view, however you can climb its bell-tower and enjoy a great view over the town from above.
The second pic of this tip should represent a kind of clock located at the top of the tower, but I don't know anything about it.
