The morning after

So, I rose at my usual early hour and put the first footsteps of the day upon the dew-encrusted grass, stepping with great delight down the country lane between the vineyards and the farm animals, my every activity being overseen by the dominant Castello di Montecchio astride a nearby hill.

The front of the Collegiata di San Giuliano 14th. It's a fair assumption that, in a town that suffered damage during WWII, this was a victim and its "as new" look is a result of refurbishment since that time. I have to say I found the neo-classical facade with its Corinthian columns to be quite a stand out beside the Chiesa del Gesu (pictured elsewhere). I'm still not sure whether the newness of the college or the aged look of the church attracted me more.
