Heaven in the Tuscan Hill Country

This is an incredible place to stay. Atop a hillside amidst olive groves and vineyards, you'll find Borgo Elena.. even more beautiful than any picture we'd seen of it. There are 7quaint apartments, all with private entrances. You feel like you have been in Italy forever, and this little oasis is all yours. The owner, Mario Baracci, came to visit us daily to ensure we were ok and had everything we needed. I didn't ever want to leave!

Unique Quality: The word "apartment" doesnt do these accomodations justice. We had our own farmhouse. These are rustic stone buildings, completely renovated with all modern conveniences. Ours, one of the smallest.. had a lovely large bedroom, living room, kitchen with working fireplace, and bathroom with shower. Outside was a lovely table and chairs for enjoying the marvelous panoramic views and sipping a glass of wine enjoying the quiet. There is also a laundry facility and a lovely swimming pool. For 70 euros a night, this was the deal of the century. I can't recommend Borgo Elena enough.
