This is a charming villa that has 5 rooms, each very different but equally beautiful. The bathrooms in our rooms were made of marble and were absolutely gorgeous. The villa has a family room with satellite TV and loads of reading books. The kitchen is a sight as well and is accessible in the morning for a wonderful organic breakfast. The villa also has a terrace which overlooks Fiesole and Florence. The rooms we stayed in had large picture windows that also had this amazing view. The grounds are fun to walk around and have some amazing views. There are olive trees and various other trees and flowers of which I had never seen. The owner has many gardens and we enjoyed some of the tomatoes, olives, home-made fig jam and other things from the gardens.
You can also pay extra to have dinner there, where the wonderful Graziano will cook you whatever you feel like- just give him a days notice to get the needed groceries. He cooked for us arrabiata pasta for the first course, steak with sauteed veggies for the second course, and then home-made Tiramisu for desert. This was the highlight of our trip!
The villa has a small pool which we weren't able to use because it was too cold, but it was in great condition.
The villa also offers full-body massages, pedicures and other spa treatments for an extra cost.
This villa is 2km outside of Fiesole and it´s one of the cheap beds you will find around Florence.
When we arrived we had our reservation sheet in our hands and met the old grandma of the house. She only spoke Italian and didn´t understand our Italian phrases we learnt on the way to Fiesole...We thought we were good ;( After a while she showed us our room, still not sure if she was doing right.......it was fun!!!!
The rooms are simple, but the beds are comfortable... You have a shared bathroom on the floor.......and a TV in your room!
