Bisoli

Assuming that's the one you mean. Have a look at the map on this link:

There was an interview with Mrs Bisoli in a magazine last month so I presume they are still in business. The address posted above is correct. Apparently the company has no website.

Travel Tips for Florence

Go to the Galleria delgi...

by Angel_Dust

Go to the Galleria delgi Uffizi. Beautiful paintings and sculptures. Just my luck though, when I went, the Rembrandt section was closed for 'renovations.' *Sniff* Sitting on the steps of the Galleria degli Uffizi and listening to classical music. It was so beautiful!

The Arno River divides...

by spartan

The Arno River divides Florence in two. South of the river is Oltrarno, a mostly residential area with a large student and artist community. A couple of the city's major sites, including the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens are located in the Oltrarno, as well as the belvedere at Piazzelle Michelangelo.

A good day trip from Florence...

by chrissyalex

A good day trip from Florence is Pisa. It is definately worth seeing because it is so famous, but it is not a place where I would want to spend a long period of time. An afternoon was sufficient for me. I visited Pisa leaving Florence on my way to Le Cinque Terre

Wonderful art............

by Bigs about Piazza della Signoria

When we were in Florence the last time we were lucky that the Italian TV was making a live report from the social forum in Florence... They brought some extra lights and the statues in the hallway under the Galleria dell´Uffizie were in a special light.....

Great Restaurant around the corner from Mario's

by royalempress about Trattoria Due G

Every time we come to Florence we eat here. A super restaurant that is very inexpensive. Mostly you only see local Italians eat here.

Last year I took my cousins to Italy and we ate dinner every night at the restaurant. One night I looked up and noticed that no customers were left in the restaurant. I asked the owner what time he closed and he cheerfully told me he closed an hour ago. He didn't mind at all that we still were there. As we started to leave the Bus Boys, Cooks, waiters, Owner and owners wife were in a big line and kissed and thanked each one of us for coming. Now thats Italian !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We loved their house wine at the restaurant. It's fun as they bring this very large bottle for you and set it on the table. After you are done eating and before the bill, the owner comes out and eyeballs the bottle for an estimate of how much you drank. Well, I set it as a challenge to drink the bottle dry. I never did it but every night the owner would laugh and say, "Your improving, very good". Lots of fun to eat where they appreciate their customers.
The location is really great if you are coming by train. It is only about a block from the train station. All the food is first class with local price. They treat you like family. It is worth staying at Mario's just for the food close by.

The restaurant is a block from the train station. Walk straight down Via Cennini from the Piazza Adua at the corner of the train station, and its on your right before the street ends.
I really loved their spinach rosoto. It was heaven. For desert try the limoncello....
