Near the train station

If you get to Florence by train Aurora is one of the best places to stay at. That's true even if you don't get here by train as the hotel is located less than 100 metres from the Central Station.
The staff is very kind and one of the ebst things about the place is that the reception is open 24 hours.
I stayed here with a friend and we shared a double room. The interior was nice, nothing fancy. The beds and the bathroom were the highlights (big and fresh). The price for one night was 60 Euro total. Note that this was low-season in mid-December.

Unique Quality: It's always nice to know that the reception is open 24 hours, which enables you to slip in after a night on the town.

Great location in Florence

The Hotel Aurora is located 35 meters from the central station (Santa Maria Novella) in Florence. Perfect location I would say, as it's close to both sights, restaurants and nightlife, as well as the train when it's time to leave.

The hotel is fresh and clean, with helpfull staff in the reception. I was lucky to come here during low season, which meant we got a nice double room, with a huge bathroom (for being Italy) for only 60 euro/night.
During the summer/high season the rate for a room at Aurora is 207 euro, and that I must say is not worth it.

Nice beds though, slept very well. And the reception is open 24 hours a day, meaning you'll have no problem coming back late after a round around Florence's nightlife.

Unique Quality: The location is the best with this hotel. And the calmness. Very silent, and no sound at all into the room from the reception or corridor.

Close to the hotel you'll find an underground shopping center, an internet café, McDonalds and the train station. 10 minutes walk, maximum, and you're at the Duomo, Mercato Centrale or Ponte Vecchio. All depending on which way you choose to go.

Lovely hotel

The staff at Hotel Aurora are eager to help, and will speak English to aid non-Italian speaking guests. The location and price of this hotel cannot be beat, and the lodging is comfortable, clean, and warm.

Unique Quality: Hotel Aurora is split into 2 sites, one directly across from the train station and one around the corner on Via della Spada. Both sites are equally well appointed and offer a wonderful central location from which to explore Florence.
