We stayed here for 2 nights in November. The room was clean and pretty, the bathroom was clean but its shower did not work so the other was available to us which was fine, no waiting and it was close by also. The free internet was down but instead we talked to the young, friendly, and helpful staff. The new owners took over 8 months ago and are working hard to improve the place. I would definately stay here again.
The location was great, close to the SMN train station and close to our walking exploration of Florence.
The hotel is 1 star which should have been a hint! The days we were in florence, accommodation was very hard to find and so we thought this would be ok. We paid 63 Euros for a double room in January which was the most we paid in six weeks and it definitely was not the best room we stayed in! The room itself was huge - a queen and a double bed. Breakfast in not included but there is a fantastic cafe downstairs - my stomach is rumbling just thinking about the chocolate canollis and the paninis! The bathroom was the biggest disappointment - it smelt of bleach but I don't think it had been used. We stayed 3 nights and there was no hot water on two mornings. There is a lift though which is an enormous bonus! Location was excellent near the San Lorenzo markets and the train station. It can be booked though hostelworld.com and the like.
