A bit far from Firenze (in Fiesole), but it deserves the ride, if you wanna sleep in a really charming place, where some scenes of A room with a view and Tea with Mussolini where filmed.
There is a 15th century Cloister, which was once an enclosed Monastery, and has been recently restored to offer visitors the possibility of relaxing stay in its charming apartments, all finely furnished and modernly equipped, while maintaining their original features.
Some history:
The Villa was built in the 15th century by the Pazzi Family and in the 18th c. became the property of the Tolomeis, who restored it and built one more floor. In the second half of the 19th c. the Villa was sold to an English Lord, Sir John Temple Leader who made numerous changes.
You can make group reservations by phone if you just wanna visit it.
