This is alittle no frills bed n breakfast ideal for those looking for a clean, basic accomodation in the trainstation area. Some noise in the late hours due to the clubs nearby but otherwise no problem at all. Most of the staff normally speak english and are rather friendly. A double bed with ensuite will cost around EUR 80.
Unique Quality: has a lift and good location but otherwise there are no facilities to speak of.
Directions: Train station area
Only a few blocks from the train station this small hotel is hidden through the largest wooden doors I've ever called home! We had walked to where we thought the place was then stood in the middle of the San Lorenze market with our guidebook and map open trying to figure out where we were when I realized we were standing 10 feet from the door.
A quiet (we had a window facing away from the street and overlooking a parking garage, it was very very quiet and perfect) room in a sparse hotel but when you're only sleeping there all that matters is the cleanliness and the mattress right? The bed was fine, the decor, as I said, not really there, just simple furniture and a pastel bedspread. The owner is a wonderful man (Gianni who didn't mind that I changed our date 3 times in the month leading up to our trip) was very welcoming, gave us a terrific map and circled all the hotspots. Breakfast was the usual, one croissant and one bun each with lots of coffee.
Unique Quality: Great location. Close to the Duomo, the train station and lots of restaurants.
