This hotel is located near the train station. I wouldn't stay here if it wasn't just for one night ant I had to be at the train station early in the morning. I would have much rather stayed in the center of town.
Unique Quality: Our window went out to some sort of a storage room. It was super loud and woke us up around 8:30. I would not recommend this hotel. However, their breakfast had the most selection out of all that 've experienced in Italy so far.
Directions: Near the train station
Hi everybody,
Anybody got any tips on either of these hotels ???
on any topic like rooms, prices, surroundings, locations etc.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Hiren.
Hello!
When I am in Folrence I stay always in Paolo's B&B, Quatro Piano, by Mercado Centrale (4 min walk from Duomo), very nice very central and very friendly!
He charged 50-55 Euros inclu breakfast. Have a look at his web site: http://www.quartopiano.com/index.htm or call him (0039) 329 3149042 and (0039) 055 287975. He's a nice guy, remember to say hello from Dan in Corsica!
Very good meals made of fresh market ingridients to be had in Mercado Centrale!
Enjoy!!!!
Dan
Thanks for the tip Dan !
I shall correspond with the person concerned at the B&B and shall surely pass on your regards :) !
Thanks once again,
Hiren.
Hi to all,
Can i have some feedback about the Alinari hotel near SMN station in Florence.
Thank you in advance
No personal reviews I'm afraid.
Plenty on Tripadvisor:
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g187895-d563723-Reviews-Hotel_Alinari-Florence_Tuscany.html
but do look at those on booking.com
http://www.booking.com/hotel/it/alinariflorence.en.html
Booking.com reviews can only be posted by people who have booked with the site and completed their stay (you get an email inviting you to review). Consequently I trust them far more than other sites where anyone can post a review.
It seems like an ok place and is certainly in a good location.
Great THANK YOU VERY NUCH HAVE A NICE DAY
There are areas around SMN that are not can i say the best. They have cleaned up the front of the church, and is now a very nice spot. Would try to get a solid idea of where the location is, and look at some alternative places - all very walkable from the train station. we have stayed in the Oltrarno area, across the
Arno River via Ponte Carraia. Rick Steves in his book mentions hotels in and around florence, and i am sure you will get feedback from the members and their VT sites. Again, it may be that the hotel will be perfectly nice, but i would recommend as you have done reaching out.
Thanks,
HAVE A NICE DAY
