Quiet, clean, authentic

We had a lovely stay in the Hotel AnnaLena in April 2002.

The rooms are a nice size, furnished as you would expect - polished wooden floors, whitewashed walls etc.

A big plus for us was the huge terrace outside our room - it was shared with a table and chairs for each room, but most days we were the only ones using it - looked out over a garden very peaceful.

It is around a 10/15 min walk to the Ponto Vecchio but right next to the Boboli gardens and lots of interesting side roads with antique shops etc.

The staff were lovely and very honest - we were in the middle of selling our house, and I was very pregnant at the time - I managed to leave all my english money, bank cards etc in a drawer in the bedroom - the manager forwarded it on to me - complete so very honest and obliging staff.

Breakfast is typical - rolls and meats , jam etc .

I have no problems recommending this hotel for anyone who wants to stay in a hotel that feels like a Italian hotel.
