A Quaint Hotel in Great Location
The location of Hotel Anna's was excellent, being 5 mins' walk away from the Station. However, I was quite disappointed by the exterior as it looked quite run down. When we arrived, we met the friendly owner, Anna. She made an effort to run through a map of Florence with us and recommended places of interest for us to visit. We got a nice room right at the end of the corridor. The interior decor was reasonable, with an attached bathroom. What surprised me was when we returned to the hotel at night, the receptionist did not bother checking our details before handling us the key. We thought the security was quite lax there. Also, our room was not cleaned properly. The dustbins were not emptied and no shampoo nor shower foam was given. I had to ask Anna for it but she was very nice and responded immediately. At night, the street was very noisy so it was a little difficult to sleep. Also, breakfast was charged at 5 euros per person, which I thought was too expensive.
