Cheap & clean
Hotel Duilio, is a small, but comfortable hotel in Florence, Italy. It is within walking distance of the train station and the main tourist area, a block off the river, and next door to the US Consulate, so it is safe. The owner, Vincenzo, is so friendly and helpful that he makes the stay worthwhile. The only drawback is one must climb 4 flights of stairs as there is no elevator. Rooms are small, comfortable and clean.
