If you don't mind the climb

The first thing to note is that this hotel has no elevator. There are about 79 steps to the top so be prepared. It's near a busy street but the noise wasn't too bad (maybe because we were so high up). The woman at the front desk was very sweet but we didn't converse much because I don't speak Italian.

The room was clean and comfortable and there was actually enough room to walk around. There was a shared bathroom at the end of the hall (which I never once waited for) and a shower and sink in the room. I found it odd that I had a shower at the foot of my bed but it worked out just fine and the water was nice and hot. The towels are very thin but do the trick. They would actually be perfect for travelers for packing reasons.

Unique Quality: I would recommend this hotel for location alone. It is walking distance to the train station you don't have to haul your luggage too far or take a cab and it is right down the street from the Duomo and center. They don't serve breakfast but there are so many great little cafes it doesn't matter.

This hotel only got a 1 star rating on venere.com which worried me a little, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice little hotel in the center of everything.
