We stayed with "Regina" because it was cheaper then "La Noce", but it is the same building - just diferent floors... Regina is one floor up from La Noce and you have to go down to La Noce for your breakfast and your contacts with staff.
First four nights we had no heating in the room and it was freezing cold during night. We had some thoughts about the "cheap italians" who did not start the heating in winter... Then Julia at the desk asked if our room was cold too - because she discovered when she checked a vacant room in Regina that it was without heating... That evening the heating started to work. So, if you are not happy with things - don't think it is the Italian way, it could just be that you have to catch their attention about the problem...
Breakfast was not a lot... But it was "normal" for small hotel near the mediterian sea...
Staff was very good and helpful.
Unique Quality: Besides the staff, the location has to be pointed out as a quality of Regina. It is near "Mercato Centrale" and very near to everything in the city-center.
Directions: On piazza of Mercato Centrale. Streets are very narrow and oneway in any labyrintic pattern, and parking in the garage under Mercato Centrale is darn expensive.. Hotel can help you with parking but it is still a hefty 20 - 25 EURO a night...
Fairly basic rooms but okay for the money (in Italian terms). We had a sink in our room but no bathroom...
Unique Quality: It was above a couple of wonderful restaurants which was great for meal times but bad for sleep time. ;)
