Florence's heart!
by Laura_Mexico
This city is great cause it's so small and it allows you to walk around and have many nice views. It's less crowded than Rome (at least in June it was) and it's a peaceful and enchanting place. You can start your tour in Piazza della Signoria (Signoria square) and walk to the many museums, restaurants and attractions around. You can get free maps and information about the town in the tourism information offices, which are located either in the train station or spread around the town.
Like shoes?
by CourtneyLyn
The Salvatore Ferragamo museum houses some of the world's most famous shoes. The museum has shoes dating back to the 1920s, worn by many famous actresses and actors like Sophia Loren and Katharine Hepburn. You would never think shoes could be so interesting.
Via Tornabuoni
by ForestqueenNYC about Ferragamo, Versace, Armani, Dior, Gucci, et al
Via Tornabuoni has some of the most fashionable and expensive stores in the world. Probably will not appeal to the younger crowd because these stores cater to an older group and therefore the styles tend to be a bit conservative.
Florence has great train...

Florence has great train station,Stazione S. Maria Novella
The Italian trains are very good, don't have to be expensive, so if you have plenty of time but not plenty of money you can get a cheap fare for the trains which stop at all the wee towns before your destination.
Café – it wasn’t very cold...

Café – it wasn’t very cold while being in Florence that day, but my body was craving for something warm and sweet (As usual), so we decided to go for coffee to cafeteria, and after some wandering found really a very nice one, it’s impossible not to notice it, cute place, we thought costs will be bigger than around, but it was even cheeper than at some places on the way.
