Gruppo Giorgio Leather Store

by palmtreeflamingo

Would you be able to help us find a shopping website?

I was recently in Florance and purchased a bag at a store that has a business card with the following info: "Gruppo Giorgio, 1966, Leather Factory". It notes a business address of "Via Canto De' Nelli" for shops and "Piazza Duomo 18/r" for stands.

I have co-workers who would like to inquire about purchasing a bag similar to mine, yet we are unable to locate a website.

Please advise and thank you for your time and consideration.

Karen

I can't see the exact store selling it. I suggest, try this link: http://www.clubshop.com/cgi-bin/members/LD3777743
Go to their online shopping malls and explore.

It is entirely possible (indeed, quite probable) that the company does not have a website. It doesn't seem to appear when googled.

I have looked in the Florence white pages for a phone number (http://www.paginebianche.it/index.html) but can't find one.

Does the business card not have a phone number?

Travel Tips for Florence

1973...IF in Rome you can...

by AliJoe

1973...IF in Rome you can see sooo many Scooter, Lambraeta, Vespa and Fiat 600 moving next to Alfeta, Alfa Romeo, Alfasud and other luxuries motorcar.....it's totaly differance in Florence. Not so many scooter, but they are craze with Japanese Super Bikes, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki. This Super Bikes riding next to Ducati and others Italian's production. No wonder they produce a great racer under 500cc Class, such asKamalgliano !!

Having a chance riding as a pillion rider with a local bikers...waw!! Sooo nice, surrounding the Florence's city at night with a group of local bikers. They are not a crazy bikers, well descipline riders with nice suit. We talk about bike hours and hours...not even a minute feel bore.

Visit Tuscany's Chianti Region

by geeyook

Take a tour or drive to Tuscany's Chianti region for wine tasting and scenery. Located between Florence and Sienna it is a short trip and away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. Some of the best wines in Italy are produced in the Chianti region. Only wine from Chianti can be called "Chianti Classico". Wine tasting tours and excursions can be can be easily arranged.

Okay, maybe not a thing of beauty, but...

by pasqualeswife about Mercato Centrale

The thing about this shop is that as you can see, the meat is extremely fresh. You have to admit, this is a sight you don't see every day, or even want to see every day, but there is no doubt as to the age of the product. Wonderful selection of meat, including wild boar salami, bresaola, etc. Less than I expected.

Metro, car, bus.....

by GeoDenia

There are many way to get around Firenze.
1. By train: Connection between the 2 airports.
2. By bus: Bus line every 20' from the Railway to the Airport. Buses also service the city centre. Bus tickets can be bought at tobacconists or vending machines, and must be validated as you get on the bus. Tickets are sold on a time basis - you can get one-hour, two-hour and 24-hour tickets.
3. By car: You can rent a car or use your own.

Mostly Vegitarian

by MarvintheMartian about La Congrega

They describe themselves as a Wine Bar, but that wasn't very apparent.
This is a really upmarket style restaurant (osteria) but reasonably priced.
Quite small but a super place to eat, very high ceiling with wooden beams and the slated roof showing.
Food excellent and helpful advice on wine.
Easy to miss this place as there are no big flashy signs outside. Don't be tempted to eat across the road at the cheaper trattoria - it has no astmosphere!
La Congrega has style. Okay Gnochi is really from the Verona area, but they serve it in a tomatoe based sauce within a cheese (parmasan) cooked shell. The bread (served to start as always) was soft and warm with a cheesy taste. Superb!
Dolce - if you can't choose go for the "Tastes of dessert" - a mixture.
Having said that, the Zuppa Ingelse was excellent.
