Pensione Sole

Rates listed in Rick Steve’s Italy 2000 guide book is 120,000 to 130,000 Lire (about 60 to 65 US dollars) for a double with bath. Price does not include breakfast.

Unique Quality: Very clean comfortable small (only seven rooms) pensions run by Anna and her family. We were made to feel very much at home and even bought flowers for Anna at the market. The location is close to the sights, but far enough away to be quiet. Since our stay they have installed an elevator, which is great since the pension is on the 4th floor. I think I counted over sixty stairs. Anna speaks no English, but I found it easy to communicate with her even though my grasp of Italian is weak.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
