Ponte Vecchio.
by Maurizioago
This bridge was built in 1345 as a replacement for a previous bridge swept away by a flood. The very first bridge existed here before XI century. Ponte Vecchio originally was filled with butchers' shops, blacksmiths and tanners. Because of the stench, Ferdinand I decided to forbid them to work on the bridge. Ponte Vecchio is the only bridge in Florence to survive World War II.
Both edges of the bridge are lined with jewellery shops.
Donatello's Mary Magdalena
by littlesam1
This unusual work by Donatello is found in the Museum Della Opera. It has a beauty and also an oddness about it on first view. I found it haunting and came back to it several times until I finally came to fully appreciate it.

Prada Outlet
by fgfi about Space
It is best to arrive at Prada before it opens at 9.30. Prada allows only 100 shoppers inside at one time. The wait time can be just a few minutes or a matter of hours.
9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Driving: From the A1 motorway, take the exit marked Baldano. Follow the signs for Arezzo and then for Montevarchi. You pass through a series of traffic lights, and a warehouse/factory will be on your left. That's Prada. There's no sign on the building; just follow the people.
Train: Take the train from Florence's Santa Maria Novella Station to Montevarchi (one hour), then continue by taxi (about 20 minutes) to the outlet. The outlet carries all of Prada's lines, including Miu Miu, Helmut Lang, Jil Sander and Church's shoes.
amazing and authentic for a romantic meal
by nomadNY about Il Santo Bevitore
The restuarant is very romantic -an old wince cellar converted. It has dim candlelight large wooden arched ceiling and small intamite tables. As well as a nice long wooden bar for a glass of wine and apertivos. I had the ricotta and asparagus ravioli. it was amazing. my friend had baked mozzarella wrapped in proscuitto soaked in a verde sause...to die for!
Definitely get some of the meats and cheeses to start. They have an extensive wine list as well.
