where to pick up guided tour departure point

by AlessWhite

I'm having trouble finding the people to contact re the above question.
Have just received the actual paperwork for our holiday, including a guided visit to the Uffizi Gallery, and I cannot work out what it means-- "Tour departs at 4.15 pm. Departure is from the Museum, entrance reserved at 4.30pm."
I don't know who the local agents are, apart from "Viaggi Del Mappamondo SRL" and a search for them on the 'net produces un-usable results.
So, if anyone can tell me/give me a clue about just where this departure point might logically be, I would be most grateful.

The spammer above has been reported and will hopefully be deleted soon.

Back to the original question: I'd translate this to: at the museum entrance for holders of reserved tickets. There are, I suppose, two entrances - one with a long line that leads to the cash desk, and another with hopefully less lines for those visitors who have prebooked tickets. The sign above will say something like prenotazioni, riservazoni, or biglietti prenotati. Your prebooked entrance time is 4:30 and they want you to be there 15 minutes earlier to make sure the group can enter on time.

Yes, just go to the main entrance of the Uffizi. You will see different lines. Either find the sign, ask one of the guards there, or show them your voucher.
You will be directed to the correct (shorter) line.
Do be sure to get there in plenty of time, don't be late!

Yes, I too reported the spammer. Hopefully it will be deleted soon.

I can't remember, but there may have been signs in english, because neither my husband nor I speak italian, but we knew where to go. Like UnaS said, be there early so if you can't find the right entrance right away, you'll still get there in time.

There was a long line even for those with reservations, but not as long as the one for those buying tickets at the door.

Enjoy your trip.

Uffizi Gallery

If your time is precious and you didn't book the ticket in advance, plan your visit later in the day.

My own experience was I entered the gallery 1.5 hours before the closing time, there were no lines and no waiting times as well as avoiding the crowds inside the gallery.

Mercato Nuovo

by Gypsystravels

Despite its name the New Market has been around since 1551 and was known as the Straw Market because it sold rafia (straw) goods. Today this market sells everything from clothing, handbags, shoes and leather good, along with tourist souvernirs. It is thought that by touching the little bronze boar "Il Porcellino" it will bring good luck. So go ahead, touch away.

Just sit back, relax - if it's possible with a glass of valuable Brunello di Montalcino wine in your hand - and let your eyes wander freely throughout the breathtaking landscape out there...What's more 'off the beaten path' than not beating the path at all and, at the same time, getting great emotions?!? :-))

dance til' you drop

by zu1 about Space Electronic Night Club

The space electronic dance club is a great place to meet people. There are a lot of teens from all over the world, literaly. The bar and Kareoke is downstairs and the dance floor is upstairs. You will dance till you drop, because i did. You can wear anything you want. Dress code is not require.

Authentic italian just in the middle of market!

by paulileena about Garibardi

If you sit inside - there's no tourists and you get to see businessmen and families having lunch. Italians have their lunch around 13.30-14.00.
Nice waiters and great food (salty though like in everywhere in Tuscany)
