Some culty tips for you ;o)
The Italians have a kinda midday rest period (like a siësta). So the shops are closed between 11 am and 3 pm. Shops are open from 9-11 am and 3-8 pm.
Also when eating here: expect a lot of seafood (octopus, white fish, large shrimps, salmon), a lot of tomotoes, garlic, olive oil, cheese, pizzas and pastas). So if you are a potatoe & stew lover this is not really the place to be. But hey you must try the Italian food for sure, it's great! (though I must admit I couldn't eat any pasta or pizza anymore after a week).
