Lucca's Best Accomodation!
Our stay in Lucca was great, also thanks to the staff of this nice hotel: the girls at the front desk gave us advice about good restaurants and made reservation for us and our friends.
The possibility to take the hotel bikes is a plus we highly enjoied.
Next time in Tuscany we'll definitively come back in this hotel.
Unique Quality: It is very easy to reach, and you can leave your car in one of thei two parking lots. Th friendly staff is the thing we remember the most. Our room was not so large, but clean and nice.

Celide Hotel (Albergo Celide)
This hotel has four stars but I can't understand why - perhaps the snotty front desk staff?
The hotel is located on the incredibly noisy six-lane main street that leads to the city center.
The "room" - and I use the term lightly - was barely the size of a walk-in closet. The bed took up most of the room and there was perhaps six inches around the bed to walk. The room cost an outrageous 100 euros (135 U.S dollars).
The bathroom was clean, but the shower was small and cramped. The shower was awful -- I was not able to regulate the water temperature. The shower knob came off in my hand when I tried to adjust the alternately scalding then freezing water.
Another annoyance was the television, which did not work. There was only one watchable channel.
There is a gaudy bar area when you can relax and pay 7 euros for a glass of overwarm red wine, which is one of those individual-serving bottles that they then pour into a glass. It seems wrong in Italy that they don't have a good, normal bottle of red at the right temperature to pour for you, especially when they are overcharging you.
In the very early morning, the staff is loud, talking at above-normal tones in the hallway and rattling carts about.
I highly DON'T recommend this hotel.
Unique Quality: Oh yes, there was a great view into a bush from my window.
The only good thing I have to say was that there was a wide selection for breakfast in a rather nice breakfast room.
