Outside the walls
The Leone Di Sant'Anna hotel is sited outside the walls and very near to Porta S.Donato.
If you walk from the Train Station it will take 30 min aprox to arrived to the hotel. It is a tranquil area, very residential and there are so handy shops and coffee shops around it. Some of the houses around it are so nice and with beautiful facades.
The hotel has a reception desk (not very busy and with very kind staff) in a three floor house. The rooms are well equipped and with toilet en-suite although the room we had has not bath and a very tiny shower (just for one at the time and even no so spacious! ;)
They serve two kind of breakfasts:
- the Italian and the continental (that we didn´t try it).
- Opinion of Price: least expensive

Good place to stay in Lucca
The guesthouse is in a good location, quite close to Lucca center, although if you go buy car and you are the first time in Lucca it might be difficult to find the streets as many of them around are single sided and you are going somewhere around. I liked the rooms, the furniture and interior of the guesthouse. It is cosy, clean and safe. Next to it there is a small pizzeria to take the pizza away. Tasty!
