Comfortable, large room

We did not make reservations in Montalcino when we arrived. We happened to arrive in town and was a bit hungry. Had lunch at Al guillare. The owner asked us about our visit and we asked if she might have a recommendation on where we could stay. She said her son owned a bed and breakfast right around the corner. We had a look and it was fine. Not fancy but comfortable. The shower I didn't care for much - it was tiny. And, even though it was supposed to be a bed and breakfast, the breakfast was help yourself and mostly non-refrigerated foods.

The price was definitely reasonable €60 per night.
