We spent a week a Villa Poggiano in May of 2005 and it was the greatest. The young lady who runs it (Stefania) is a terrific host. They have a real nice breakfast, real fresh products etc. It is only a mile to Montepulciano and Stefania tells you how to park there etc to save steps. If someone wants to see the best wine and olive grove area in Italy this is the place to stay. Plenty of restaurants nearby and we kept busy visitng one or two towns everyday for a week. This is truly a five star and for the quality the price is well in line. Rooms and cleanliness are as good as it gets anywhere.
This is a historical house with beautiful grounds as well..You will love it!!!
Unique Quality: Looks at the web site and you will see the rooms and pool that is over 100 years old and buildt out of marble.
Directions: straight through Monetpulciano and head towared Pienze (signs are good) and about one mile out of the area you will see a turn to the left for Villa Poggiano--
