Getting to Gailoe
Hi
I am planning on getting a train from Rome to Montevarchi but then need to get to a villa in Gaiole. Any suggestions on the best way to do that - any idea what a taxi would cost?

Do you mean Gaiole in Chianti? It is about 20 km from Montevarchi. Some one in your party should have a car to travel around in this area. Here is a website you might check out to find the cost of a taxi. We stayed in Gaiole in Chianti a few years ago at Borgo Casa al Vento. Wonderful place. Enjoy your visit.

Yep that is the place. Others in the party are renting car in Pisa and driving down but later than us so we don't want to rent another car. Thanks for the web site
