Montevarchi
"A Delightful Market Town"
I visit a friend who lives close to Montevarchi about three or four times a year. Montevarchi is where they do their supermarket shopping and go for anything beyond everyday supplies.
Although it is a modern town, and has a lot of traffic, the centre is much older and it is a very pleasant place to wander round with some delightful shops. (if you can find it, there is one, diagonally opposite the computer shop) that sells a very eclectic selection of objects from the 50s and 60s. Well worth a visit! Prices are reasonable and I bought I splendid red hat for my daughter there, and a handbag for my partner.
"The Main Church"
A lovely square, and the church is well worth a visit.
I'm visiting again in March, and I'll get some proper details about it!
