"The heart of Tuscany"
In the summer months the Cities of Italy are very hot and stuffy. Up here in the Tuscany Hills it is still hot but a little fresher and we stayed at a very big Hotel about 2 or 3km up the road from the village of Tuscany (see pics)
Excellent location for relaxation with Hotel having a swimming pool and Bar - and there is also a Bar and disco in the evenings.
I stayed in a room next to the Waterwheel so was very relaxing listening to the sound of running water in the evening
Good place to stay for exploring the region of Tuscany and beyond by Car - although i managed to reach the village of Pescia by train from Florence.
Need to know - if walking to Hotel from village it can be very hot - bring plenty of drinking water
Beware of cars on the narrow road if walking - they can be a little crazy (but i think that is Italy in general)
Where is Pescia?
Sorry i did not get the Hotel name - maybe somebody can help me here.
It was about 3km uphill on road from the village
DO - drink plenty of Peach Ice Tea - it is lovely
