A lot of sights to see in Pisa
by globetrott
There is a lot to see in Pisa and some great sights are overseen easily .
Therefore I adapted this map for your orientation :
The very first place , that you should head to is the Ticket-office, with a red dot on my map in order to buy the tickets for ALL sights on Piazza dei Miracoli !!!
1 Batistero
2 Duomo
3 Campanile / The leaning tower
4 Museo dell Opera del Duomo
5 Camposanto
6 the medieval townwall of Pisa
7 Museo delle Sinopie
8 Palazzo dei Cavalieri What a pity, I missed Palazzo dei Cavalieri , whenever I was in Pisa ( 3 times so far )
;-((
It is just about 300 meters from the Museo dell Opera del Duomo
Obviously, the only things...

Obviously, the only things worthwhile seeing are the Leaning Tower of Pisa (which you can no longer climb unfortunately) and the basilica next door. Climbing the Leaning Tower back in 1989 - as I walked up, it really felt so strange. Like there was something wrong with my balance (and no, I hadn't been drinking!) and it was quite an effort to get up the spiral stairs without feeling dizzy.
The Duomo --> Chathedral Pulpit
by KiNyA
Uhm, I'm affraid it can't be seen in the picture. But it's behind us! Bad light => No Cathedral pulpit in the picture :-)
Anyways, the carved supports for Giovanni Pisano's pulpit symbolize the Arts and Virtues.
Last Sunday in June
by keeweechic
Last Sunday in June - 'Gioco del Ponte' (Bridges Game) . This is probably the most important festival in Pisa. It involves Mediaeval costumes, horseback parades and 12 teams of 20 people attempting to push a 7 ton 'trolley' onto the opposite side of the bridge.
Torre Guelfa
by Willettsworld
The tall Guelph tower rises in one of the most scenic areas of Pisa, the Cittadella Vecchia (Old Citadel). Its unique profile has attracted for centuries people visiting the town or simply walking along the Arno.
This part of Pisa, characterised by ancient remains usually ignored, is actually the witness of centuries of history. In fact, at the beginning of the 13th century, after the many and important victories of its fleet over all the Mediterranean Sea, the Republic of Pisa reunited in this place all its busy shipyard activities. The choice fell on the western-most part of the city, near the monastery of San Vito (an important religious institution now completely lost apart from the church of San Vito remodelled many times over the centuries), where harbour structures already existed from the previous century.
