hi
flying to pisa for a few days could someone tell me a bus to catch from the airport to my hotel which is within 200 metre of the leaning tower and can I buy a ticket at the airport.

You can get the LAM bus Rossa from the airport to the Tower area.
If you click on LAM rossa link, and then on 'cartina' you will get a map of the route as well as a list of stops.

I can't find a timetable at the moment........will keep looking.
Alternatively, you can take the train for the 5-minute journey to Pisa Centrale then get an ordinary bus from outside the station. Clicking on any of the bus routes inclusing 'stazione FS' on the link above will bring up a map, so you can see whcih goes nearset to your hotel.
You can buy bus tickets at the airport information desk, or at the machines by the bus stops.
The buses stop almost directly outside Arrivals.

Visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa!
The Tower is actually the belltower for the Cathedral (Duomo) and it is located in the beautiful Campo Dei Miracoli, along with the impressive Cathedral itself and also the lovely Baptistery.
During our visit the Tower was closed. It was studied to be cure. Because it leans more each year and the Pisan people wants to keep their attraction.
Concrete is injected in the basement to stabilish the Tower.
Go and see the main monuments there on Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Wonders). Here you can find the cathedral, the Baptisterium, the Leaning Tower and the Santo Campo Roman funeral building with impressive statues. After seeing this you can walk straight ahead into the centre of Pisa to admire the Palazzo dei Cavalieri (Palace of the Caravan) and the Santa Maria della Spina Church. After seeing all those beautiful monuments: shop until you drop at the side of Piazza dei Miracoli. Souvenirs, jewels, clothing, you name it!
Suitcase or backpack. Dress lightly in summer, temperature is usually about 35 degrees Celcius. In the evenings it can cool off a bit, so bring a long a sweater. Is available here: bur don't buy film that was on a rack outside all day. The film can be damaged then.

The pride of Teluk Intan, is situated 84 km from Ipoh City. This pagoda- like structure is actually a clock tower, which still ticks and keeps time to this day. The leaning eight storey wooden tower is also called The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan because it resembles the famous Tower of Pisa in Italy. It was built in 1885 by a Chinese contractor, Leong Choon Choong. This dominating 25.5m tower was constructed to serve as a water tank.
