buses around pisa
Hi there, I've never put a holiday together before and at the moment I have booked the Verdi B and B at the Repubblica Square.
We will arrive on Tues 26 Jan and wondered if anyone can advise us which bus to get to arrive at our hotel? Tried looking up bus routes, but no joy so far.

I do not understand how you will arrive in Pisa. At which airport, for example or will you arrive at the station? Best thing to do is to ask directly to the hotel, I guess

Assuming that you arrive by plane at Aeroporto Galileo Galilei Pisa and need to get to Hotel Verdi then it may be easier to get a taxi as the distance is not far and the fare is reasonable. According to the Pisa airport web site:

The hotel website has some information and they point to a Google map for access. http://www.verdihotel.it/
If you decide on the bus, the airport web site points to the "From the Airport", the main stops of the Red LAM Line are: Pisa Central Station, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, Riversides (4 stops), Santa Chiara Hospital.

It seems to go from the airport to the railway station and then crosses the river using the Solferino Bridge then continues towards the leaning tower.
If you have not tried it, open Google Maps and put in the search box your hotel address:
Piazza della Repubblica, 5
56127 Pisa PI, Italy
Then zoom in and you can get a view of the locality but more importantly can see the public bus routes stops and if you click on the small bus icon can see which buses are nearest.
I think you will find that you may have to change bus at the station when coming from the airport to take one closer to your hotel area.

Yes, sorry, arriving at Pisa airport. Information brilliant. I now feel I know the first steps of what i must do. Looks like I get linear 7. D green bus. Will look into where we can leave our luggage on the last day and how to use bus tickets. Also want ot visit lots of places, hopefully, so will be doing more homework. Thank you very much indeed.
