A contemporary church
The Chiesa di San Giuseppe ("Saint Joseph's church") was built in 1960-62 on a plan by Carlo Del Zanna.
I didn't visit it both because it was closed when I passed by there and because I find it rather ugly, like many other churches built in the 20th century. I'm not a fan of contemporary art...
However, I have read on a website that you can see here important works by local artist Giuseppe Calonaci, who sculptured the entry gate said "Gate of Peace" and a window of this church. If you go inside, you will see a Resurrection by Siena painter Enzo Pollai.
Anyway, with my highest respect for Calonaci and Pollai, I still wouldn't visit this church, considering there are several more interesting churches and buildings in Poggibonsi.
