a timelessly elegant motorscooter
On my picture, that shows one of the plenty exhibits in the museum, you may see the philosophy behind the great success of the Vespas in Italy:
Car-trafic is mostly too heavy & you might feel like sardines in the can...
...with a vespa you simply drive around the queus and get a parking everywhere...
Another great itinerary made by an ordinary Vepsa :
Roma - Greece - Turkey - Iran - Pakistan - India - Bangladesh - Thailand - Cambodia.
How often did I dream of such a journey, while reading books about globetrotters.
Unfortunately, the older you get, you get wiser (at least a bit) ...
....and so I think I will better take s amall car instead a scooter one day.
Here you see another high-speed motorscooter built by Piaggio in 1951.
It could reach a top-speed of 171,1 km/h and was mainly constructed for the speed trial of the "standing Kilometre"
I think it rather looks like a submarine, than a scooter...
