Discrete charm of Tuscany
Prato is less known of all Tuscan town. Most visitors would visit Florence, Pisa, Siena or Lucca first before they decide to come to Prato. Prato is not the most charming town in region but also has strong artistic heritage and it’s worth visit. The most interesting places in town are old city walls from different periods dating back to XII century, dozens colorful churches (especially Duomo) and interesting family houses and palaces. One of the attractions is Emperor’s castle (on the main photo) closely connecting to personality of Frederick II (1194 - 1250), Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, of the Swabian Hohenstaufen family. The building is supposed to have been erected in the years 1242 –1248 and still is very well preserved. When you are in Florence, don’t miss to visit Prato.

I wanted to stay there all night long!
