Among the delicate hills of the Chianti, in the beautiful country Tuscany, between the cities of art and the historical countries of the province of Siena, rich of old castles and monumental abbeys, found our Bed & Breakfast, where greeting is the style of life of all the family. Here, where it reigns the heat of the hearth, you will not be of the simple customers but true hosts of our house. To the Bed and Breakfast Antico podere Il Bugnolo not to only rent one room to you, we are not one photo on an anonymous catalogue, not to only deliver the keys and to say as the gas is ignited, but we share with you the customs, our lifestyle, the Tuscany culture.
To find B&B, sets in the heart of the Chianti: Highway denominated A1, gone out Florence Certosa to take then the link motorway Florence-Siena up to POGGIBONSI NORD. Coming from the south Italy, from the highway A1 to go out to BETTOLLE, then in direction Siena and to continue on the motorway Florence-Siena up to POGGIBONSI Nord. To the first circle to continue in direction St. Gimignano, old other three circles to turn to the right direction Ulignano (Attention turn to the left immediately), past 500 meters and after having overcome on the left a distributor of gas "Lampogas", turn to the left on the curve CANONICA (road not asphalted) and past the first house along the road, you will find on the right the avenue planted with trees and entry to our B&B
A delightful place to stay with every convenience at an affordable price directly off the Piazza del Duomo.
Only two flights up, an easy approach to the apartment that has a private balcony and charming courtyard. You can see the towers from the sunroof. And the host, Fabio, is most accomodating... even willing to tour you around Tuscany.
A beautiful room in an old palazzo apartment right in the city centre in the main street. The bathroom is completely new. Signorina Giovanna will prepare breakfast on demand.
This bed and breakfast is a few km out of San Gimignano in the little town called Pancole. Not only was it very inexpensive, it was beautiful, the room was great and large, the sisters who ran it were lovely, the wine they produced there was awesome, and the recommendation for dinner they gave us was superb. Do you think we were impressed?
Beautiful large rooms, good food, friendly staff, great wine.
The group I was traveling with was 5 equally budget conscience backpackers, so we went to the Tourist Information center in the main square and gave them our "demands". Basically we determined that we could all afford 25€ each. A few calls later and we had an apartment for ourselves that had a spectacular view of the countryside. The owner was Marco Peccini. He speaks no English, but was SO generous and nice to all of us. He even brought us a bottle of his own wine! The apartment had full facilities and a full kitchen. A GREAT place to stay.
Sleeps up to 6
Large living room
Spectacular view east for the sunrises
The look of the windows from inside.
I loved to watch at the piazza della Cisterna from these windows.
The appartment has a big room, bathroom and kitchenette. The furniture looks like antiquarian one. The walls are of stones and it resembles the stay in a medieval castle.
This is the look from outside of our appartment. Our room was on the second floor. Seems the first floor rooms are not arranged for renting and there is an appartment on the third floor as well, but it doesn't have such arc-shaped windows.
This place was kept in secret for me and till the last minute I didn't know where we are gonna stay so when I saw this medieval building with "bifore" windows I could say only "....wow".....
This place is overbooked during the high season, so we were really lucky to get the place in November for around 80 euros per day. Usually they charge 120 euros in summer.
That's not the only appartment the Rossi family has, check their website for the complete list.
Unique qualities are the superb location and these arc-shaped windows which, when you look out through them, make you feel like a princess waiting for your prince on the white horse ;)
It is quite common to rent a Villa in Tuscany. We had 8 people and therefore it was practically the only alternative we had. You can check the webpages for plenty of offerings for Villa. We went for the cheapest one available (Villa Pineta) and found us lacking of steady electricity and some accessories and lock that didn't seem to work very well. However, it didn't really matter since we were travelling most of the time and the Villa was more like a homebase for us.
The neighbour had an own cat that got very acquinted with us. Maybe even too much. Lots of room, 175 qm.
