Casale i due Merli in Chiusi
by mlaskin100
Hello,
I stayed in an apt in Chiusi several years ago and seem unable to find it online. Does anyone have any information about the property named Casale i due Merli. The owners name was Mazza and very charming. We'd like to rent an apartment this summer but can't locate them.
Thank you.

I see that this is your second posting about this casale (http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-467772-1-1-Travel-0-61-Tuscany-discussion.html)
How did you contact them the first time, through the email form that J's second link has, or some other method?
If you have already tried contacting them through these channels, you might try sending an email to the Tourism Office in Chiusi (prolocochiusi@bcc.tin.it) and asking them (I am sure that English will be OK) if the "I Due Merli" is still open for business, and if they have a direct method (like a direct email or fax number) of contacting them.
I say "fax number" because some operations in Italy still do better by fax than email - email is still new to some people and fax had been the normal way of handling reservations and questions for decades.

Travel Tips for San Gimignano
San Gimignano
by sim1
1996... my first visit to Italy and Tuscany. And on one of the first days of that trip I visit San Gimignano. I only was here for a few hours, but I remember it very well. The drive towards San Gimignano was wonderful. Driving on the curved roads through the Tuscan landscape, and than all of a sudden you can see San Gimignano in the distance, on top of a hill.
The city of San Gimignano has 15 towers. In the Middle ages it was even 72!!! Unbelievable to imagine 72 towers in such a little town.
Palazzo del Popolo
by KiNyA
On the right-hand side of the church is the Town Hall with a tower and a loggia with three arcades. The Town Hall was erected starting from 1288. The loggia was erected ten years later and the tower in 1311.
During the XIV century the Town Hall was enlarged and the loggia was decorated. This loggia was never used and in the XVI century it became a porch. It was again converted into a loggia in 1934.

I'm hungry! I want pizza!!!
by satara about Ristorante - pizzeria "Beppone"
The place is nice, service is very warm, seems like a place for local families to dinner in a very relaxed speed.
Many paintings on the walls keep your eyes busy while waiting for the food.
Just the tableclothes were too bright and not suitable for the whole interior, in our oppinion.. But that's not the criterion to judge, isn't it?:) I had a very good pizza there. My first experiences of Italian pizza were not very good, so this time before ordering I got familiar with all the ingredients :)
The Surrounding Countryside ( 5 photos)
by nicolaitan
San Gimignano lies on a 300+ foot hill in the valley of the Elsa river and is surrounded by plush rolling Tuscan landscape. As one approaches the village, the view of the towers in the distance was, to our minds, more impressive than the scene within the village. Take the opportunity to pull over to the side of the road and appreciate the view and the surrounding countryside.
Arco e Torre dei Becci
by MM212
Linking Via San Giovanni with Piazza della Cisterna, the Arco dei Becci was once the town's southern gate. It was built at the end of the 10th century along with the original fortified walls, but the gate was opened and made into an arch in 1262 when San Gimignano expanded and the outer walls were built. It was also incorporated into the construction of the adjacent buildings including its namesake tower, la Torre dei Becci, which also dates from the 13th century.
