Hotel/travel to Viareggio
can anyone tell me how long it takes for a taxi transfer from Pisa airport to Viareggio and how much it will cost?
Also can anyone recommend a good hotel which serves excellent food?

There is a bus that leaves Pisa Airport about once an hour for Viareggio (final destination: Pietrasanta); the trip takes about an hour. Viareggio is about 36 kilometers away from Pisa, so even though the taxi trip might be as short as 30 minutes, the price might be frightful.

You might also look at some discussions here on this subject - http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-246988-1-1-Travel-0-145950-Pisa-discussion.html (note that hivaoa1 lives in Liverno and works in Pisa - or vice versa - so she probably has a pretty good idea)...
Also http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-216108-1-1-Travel-0-145950-Pisa-discussion.html - in this response, I note that there is a train station at the airport, and you probably need to change at Pisa Centrale (so the direct bus may be simpler).
