Rivers/Canals?

by Savvy1970

Dumb question, but I need to know if there are any rivers or canals in Vinci.

I would say no, judging from the map:

Thanks. It didn't look like it to me, either. Looks like an incredible place to visit, though.

Yes, seems a beautiful place (still have to visit...).
There are nice VT pages.
And, if not for the charming landscape, the only being the birthplace of such a wonderful genius...
Ciao

Vinci - Leonardo's home town

by alucas

.

Vinci is an attractive little town north-west of Empoli. Vinci is of course most famous as the home of Leonardo. Leonardo was born in the village of Archiano, 3 km south-east of Vinci, in 1452 and the house where he was born is open to the public.

Leonardo da Who???

by PartyRambo

"Veni, Vidi, Vinci..."

As I was driving through the Italian countryside, I noticed the town of Vinci on the map, not too far distant, and knowing it was the birthplace of Leonardo, decided to give it a whirl.

However, there's not much IN Vinci for the tourist, as the daVinci museum had closed just as I arrived, and driving around briefly, led me to no other sites of note.

"I came, I saw, I left..."
